| History of Every Victim, Every Time
In 2006, a group of local advocates wanted to do "something more" for crime victims in our area. They wanted to make a difference. A need was identified in our area for more training concerning crime victims issues and services. As a group they met to plan and organize the first Every Victim, Every Time Conference held in April of 2007. The first conference had over 100 attendees.
Each year, the group is reestablished to organize and host the conference during National Crime Victims' Rights Week. By 2009, the conference added a medical concentration component. Year after year it is apparent that the need for this type of training reaches beyond the Brazos Valley. After 4 years, the conference had grown to almost 400 attendees with over 40 speakers.
